FUN DAY

On the 9th of December 2020 our school had a school fun day there was water guns / water gun fights, a water slide and soapy hokey / soapy soccer  first i did the water gun fight but then my water gun broke so i went on the water slid which was very pain full so i did soapy hokey and then soapy soccer but then we had to have morning tea after morning tea there was more activities there was bouncy castles, skateboards / scooters and singing first i did

Waitangi

On Wednesday we drove to waitangi for a school trip i was in the car with Georgia Arlo and Gina when we got there we had morning tea and waited for whaea Imogen then we went in to the museum and she made us put our bags in a special bag cage  then we walked threw a massive glass door and had a look at some old things in the museum.

manuka tea

In totara class we made manuka tea, first we went to the bottom feild  to get some manuka then we soaked the manaka in COLD! water for ten minutes so all the littel bugs die. when the manuka was all soaked we pulled all the leaves off and put them in a cup we had to separate the sticks, flowers and seeds form the leaves because we only needed the leaves. after that we soked the leaves in HOT! water for another ten minutes we pulled all the leaves out of the hot water. after we pulled all the leaves out of the water we added a tea spoon of honey. 

AND IT WAS MAUNKA TEA!!!

Taniwha.

we had to make our own taniwha we had to  sketch the out line and then sketch the details we coloured it in with pastales and did the out line of it again with vivid and then dyed the back ground

matariki kites.

last week our class made kites for matariki we made the kites out of flax and strong sticks. we ripped thin bits off flax to connect the sticks together when we made the base for our matariki we cut the flax into the right sizes that we need once we got all our flax that we needed we placed the flak onto our base of our kites and they were all the perfect sizes so we tied them on with the thin pieces of  flax
and then we were all done but we didn't fly them because they would probably fall apart
